Get to know me,
My name is Rick Parker and I grew up in Oklahoma. It was a great place to be born and raised. I worked my way through college and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. I moved to Arizona in 1991 to pursue my girlfriend. She had found a “new guy” who was a doctor in Scottsdale and had lost her affection for me due to our long distance relationship. Yes, I got her back!! We have been married now for 13 years and have two beautiful children.

I needed a job the day I got here and found one on June 1 at a Honda dealership. Let's just say the heat and the "car business" motivated me to find a better job. I started selling cellular phones and the money was great, for a while. See, the whole free phone idea came from taking my commission and using it towards a free phone. Great idea but guys like me lost their job.
Fortunately, somebody stole a car phone antenna off of the truck of one of my customers. He called me and asks if I could replace it. Of course I ran one over and he invited me into his office. There they sat, a box of screen printed t-shirts. Hmmm....I said to myself. I grew up in the sporting goods and screen printing business. Obviously wasn’t my first choice for my new career but we started talking and soon I was the General Manger of T-Shirt Bob's. That brought the company payroll up to 2 employees.
Well one thing led to another and we went from $60,000 in annual sales to $900,000 in a couple of years and eventually I bought the whole company. I bought three more companies and merged them into mine. Many moons and stories past for those ten years and in 2003 I sold it. Lock, stock and barrel. Gone!!! What the heck am I going to do now I asked myself so graciously? Real Estate was booming. So why not join the crowd. Great timing!!!! By the time I figured the Real Estate and Mortgage business out, the bottom fell out. Persistence and determination will weather any storm, so I am here to stay.
I have always had a passion for financial planning, money management, financing and real estate. After selling my company, I jumped right in and now I am a Real Estate Investor, Flipper, Realtor and Mortgage Advisor.
I could go on and on about Real Estate jargon, but in the end, the only thing that is important when you hire a Realtor is Integrity. What you need is somebody to act in your best interest. That is a hard thing to do for most people. For me it is second nature. I quit that job at Honda of _____ because they wanted me to take advantage of naive buyers. They wanted to sell cars for more than sticker buy manipulating numbers and using confusing financing jargon. I refused!!!! I needed a job, but not that bad.
Buying a home is the largest investment in most people’s lives. If you want referrals, I mean names and phone numbers, from my customers, former employees, business partners, people I bought businesses from, past clients, mother, ex girlfriends, mother in law, vendors, etc. just send me an e-mail and I will send you the list.
When we talk, your best interest is my only concern. You see, I grew up that way.
Thank you for reading this. I will not let you down!
Rick
